| How do I darken a image on GIMP? I have it open now. |

| Since i dont use GIMP, you could make a new layer and make it all black, then make the opacity of that layer lower... Perhaps 20% or however you need. |

And if you intended to only darken the background, you could just erase the black. |

And if you intended to only darken the background, you could just erase the black. |
Also, make sure you change the layer mode to Soft Light or Darken (?) to stop the effect from looking as crude. |

| I don't have Gimp but another way of darkening the image is by using the Burn Tool, if they have it on Gimp.  |
