Greek Mythology was one of the most complicated and amazing of any religion. Naturally, something this great couldn't just disappear with their creators, so it didn't. Over 3,000 year, these Greek gods and monsters moved from place to place, and eventually found themselves in America; And their still there right now. Now gods aren't very picky when it comes to off spring. They like to 'hook up' with other mortals all the time. Their children are then something called a Demi god, AKA Half Blood or Godling. These children generally have powers based off their parents. For example, Zeus' children could control lightning and electricity, while Poseidon's kids could control water, breath in it for a tremendous amount of time, or even heel himself if in contact with it. The children also inherit the parents traits, especially if they don't have a power. For example, Ares' children tend to be mean, angry, strong, and bully's, if you may. Athena's children would turn out very, very smart and generally would have gray eyes.
Now, the gods have monsters that they use to challenge the off spring, almost like evolution; Only the fittest will survive. Although you are safe within camp, anywhere out side of the boarder is a mean and dangerous place... Or at least worst than camp.
Sometimes, gods will have 'challenges' for their children called 'Quests'. These are generally very rare and very risky, so only the best can go on them
