We have a chatbox.

Did you know that? I'm sure you did. Maybe you just forgot? Well, it's there. Collecting dust. Why? Because we never use it. I never use it because I never see anyone else on. Why don't I see them on? Because it's at the bottom of the page. Like, obnoxiously to the bottom. After the Current Online user list and under the people who logged on in the last 99 hours. The only time you would scroll down there is when you want to check Who's Online. But you can do that using the side bar. At anytime. On any page. Anywhere. Get where I'm going with this?

Why am I bringing this up? Why am I talking to myself? Well because the chatbox is a vital element to activity and because no one else is on but Kanga and that kids hates me. Yes, a chatbox is a HUGE if not VITAL element to activity. If it were at the top people who just hit the login button when they go to the homepage. Once you logon, people see your name and they are prompted to join. This cycle continues until multiple people are in the chatbox having a conversation. This social interaction does in fact effect activity, lightens the oppressive atmosphere, and promotes other conversation then the ones about overthrowing Big Sb.

But it's not at the top. It's at the bottom. Where no you uses it. Ever

Um yes ofc so I'll talk about that. It's possible to bring the chatbox at the top but I remember it as being a bit crowded when it sat up there. I don't use the chatbox because I don't find anyone on it. I always log in and if I don't see anyone on chat, I log back out and it's the same with everyone. They can't join at the same time to chat and instead just leave the page to browse the forums.

Maybe it wouldnt be so crowded at the top if our banner wasn't so damn huge.

The Register Banner with the 3 aliens. Remove that and you'll clear up some valuable space and quicker loading times. Dont worry, you can still keep your precious COPPA warning there.

Or maybe add a link for another type of chatbox into the forums. (XAT) This chatbox is too inconvenient.

1. Thechatbox is already on the forum. Xat is a link.

2. You can see whos online and pop in and say high. It's more accessible than a link.

3. Users cant disguise themselves as other users or use fake names

4. Forum Staff controls it no exceptions.

5. We tried xat before and when it became inactive we forgot the name of the room and lost it.

You win. I have no idea why the chatbox is unappealing to me. :/

No one else is using it, that's why.
The chatbox used to be on top, at that time, it actually had a moderate amount of activity. No idea why one of the admins pushed it way down there again.

There are no timestamps, the entire interface is laggy, and everything is shiny as heck just to get the user's attention.
