| There are two issues I'd like to address, starting with Trickatars:
-"Trickatars" are avatars that provide the illusion of someone being a moderator, administrator, or other rank using the group rank image as an avatar. From here on in, these avatars will not be allowed. This specifically because it can trip up new members and confuse them as to who's a staff member and who isn't. If you still have one of these avatars, please remove them ASAP.
-Chain quoting is quoting someone's previous post in your post and not saying anything else. Then other people quote your post and other people quote the other person's post...and it just winds up as giant spam and a general waste of space. Please don't chain quote! ~Screamkitten

| Gia, your avatar's fine.
There was a little argument in here; just to keep the topic a little cleaner, I deleted it. Mudkip said it was fine with him. ~Screamkitten

| Chain quoting is where you just quote someone and that's it? I think I can avoid it... And then... people keep quoting and it's a chain? Okay... interesting, I'm not so sure I'd find much amusement in that anyway, as long as it wasn't a longest quote thread in the posting games section. | |

( If this was blank This would be an example of chain quoting) If that's what you were asking Argie.

| Well, I kinda support Chain Quoting??
See, if you want to reply with the same words as somebody else, you quote them, and say nothing.
And if someone else sees it, and can't find the ORIGINAL words, he'll have to quote it right?
But, if it gets too long, how about you erase the [ QUOTE ] tags so it's just one quote?
So it won't be so strict.. lol, if you understand.

the new members should have a brain to realise that the mods, admins etc. are colour coded... its pretty clear down the bottom and other places...unless theyre colour blind. anyhow. i think these new rules are good. good job.

So it won't be so strict.. lol, if you understand. Even something as simple as quoting and saying "I agree" would be better than quoting and leaving it blank; it's spam, in a way. We could just remove the quote tags, but that would still be spam and clutter on the forum; make topics harder to browse, true? A post should be a contribution, not a repeat.
@Kreepy Kat: Maybe, but some new members don't understand forums at all; they wouldn't think to look for a color-coded key. :face: ~Screamkitten

Trick+avatar -av in avatar=trickatar. The trick replaces the av in avatar so its trickatar.

A little off topic, eh? The first rule I am glad to see. The second is OK but I have never really seen this turn into a whole spam thread of quotes.
