Do you need to buy cards to beat Sensai?

I tried to play Sensai and he has all these cards I don't ever get. Are those the cards that you get when you buy a deck?

They said you do not need to but cards to become a ninja and I assume they mean a ninja with the mask and everything.

You need the Black Belt. Go play Sensei. Play a card when you have 1 second left to play a card.

I think their merchandise is selling in US. You can buy it online or go to Toys R Us or something.

I don't think you need to purchase any cards to beat him. You just need a high rank belt.

Oh, and you can get a bunch of sweet cards if you buy a pack, even though you don't need to. Like a 10 water that drowns the other person and puts you in the machine off the iceberg (forget what it's called) and you get to snap at them... not only is it funny, or at least the first time, it also extinguishes your enemy's already won fire... I had it used against me, unfortunatly.

He even has a card that doesen't make you use fire elementals.
