Official Topics!

I'm happy to announce a small, but nonetheless neat, new feature of Club Penguin Planet: Official Topics!

Previously, topics that were stickied could be bumped and such--and that still applies--but there's not enough room in a forum for all those awesome topics. So, to make all of those stick around, I'm making the Official Topics feature.

But what is this, you ask? Quite simple, really:

-An official topic is a topic that is treated with all the rules of a sticky, majorly bumping.
-You may not make a topic official without prior approval from a staff member. If one of us approves, we'll give you a code to put at the top of your post verifying your topic has been made official.
-If you wish to make an official topic before posting it, just contact us and we'll give you the tag.
-If we deem a topic fit for the title of official, it will be given the official tag.
-All official topics will be marked with the "sticky" button.

Make sense?

In order to make these topics more official, an announcement in this forum will serve as a directory for official topics.

Enjoy this feature of CPP! :) It's not much, but it might make the forums more organized.

I think Egaro will marked official threads with "Sticky" thread tag.

Confusing but I think I got it.

There will be no more stickies to take up space. Instead, they will be called "official topics", will use the Sticky icon, and have a code at the top of it.

Otherwise it is just like a normal thread and could die like a normal thread.

I think it would be easier if you guys did not sticky as much or if, when a certain forum gets too many stickies, a "Sticky" sub-forum would be added to that forum.

Then it would be easier to distinguish which threads are stickies or not and the users would know where to go to learn a little more about that forum.

If you mark it as a sticky, it is a sticky.

Can't die; can be revived, rather, which is the key concept in this idea. ;)

The only thing is that it would seem overcrowded with sticky sub-forums all over.
