They are not down on money. The game only gets more and more popular because of the disney website. The main reason they have been giving members more and more lately is because well:
Lets suppose they got about 1000000 a month from membership (i am probably way off but just pretend)
Well if there is a way you could earn 2000000 a month without raising membership prices, they would go for it.
That's why they are making membership more worth getting.
