This is just for those wondering when the game was released, when puffles came out, and so forth.

When was Club Penguin opened?
October 24th, 2005
Before the game was open to public, it was in beta testing. Before that, Penguin Chat 3 was the popular penguin game.

When was the first puffle released?
The first puffle, the blue puffle, was captured on November 21st, 2005.
After that, other puffles were discovered. This caused the pet shop to be built at the Plaza and was officially opened on March 17th, 2006.

When was the first pin released?
The Shamrock Pin (not the coin!) was released during March 2006.

When did the Penguin Times go in business?
No one knows the exact release date of the Penguin Times, but it was assumed to be released in 2005.

When did Rockhopper first come to Club Penguin?
Rockhopper first arrived on Club Penguin after building the Migrator. He made his 1st visit on March 7th, 2005.

When did the first party happen on Club Penguin?
The first party was the Beta Party which happened during October 2005.

What can non-members do?
Non-members can still buy colors and backgrounds from the Clothing Catalogs. They can also buy a red or blue puffle for their igloo. The maximum is 2 puffles. You get pins around the island, but no member pins. Finally, you can pick up free items from Public Parties, not Member Parties. If you bought a Club Penguin toy or book and it came with a coin code, you can enter it in for either a Blue Book Item and some coins, or the toy code can get you into a special catalog. I don't want to reveal too much about that.

How do I buy a Penguin Color?
Log onto your penguin
Go to the Town. (if you do not know how to do this, click on the map and click on the location labeled town)
Click on the right building (the Gift Shop)
Go to the dressing rooms corner
A catalog will open
When you open that catalog, press the right corner to go onto the first page.
There is colours.
Click what color you want. (By the way, you need 20 coins to get a colour)
Press Yes if a question pops up.
Press ok.
Your item has been successfully received.

The Penguin Times was out in late 2005 or early 2006, since Issue 15 came out in January 2006 around the time of the Winter Luau.

And I'm pretty sure he made his appearance in October 2006, not March...

This is awesome stuff! Why don't you share some information about the origins of some of the mini-games, or some of the buildings? That'd be awesome stuff for newcomers to learn about, too!

I thought the green and black puffles were always there, like the blue puffle. I know that red came with Rockhopper, yellow was found at the stage, and purple was added as well, but I don't know where purple really came from. Let me know if all of this is correct, please.
