I'm working on a game called Alien.
It make take off, it may not.
But I do know that I have a demo! Payton Bice

Here's the demo, it's real basic right now.

Q. Why is there no borders?
A. I have no idea how to make them.

Q. Then why are you making this?
A. Because I'm learning and I'll probably learn enough to make some.

Q. Why is their no log in test and only one room?
A. Same reason as the first question.

Q. Do you know how to program anything?
A. Yes. I know how to program movement, music, and animation.

Hmm, mouse clicks are a bit off point, but the movement in general is fine

It's not hard, just make a hittest, and when it hits it stops the movement

If you're still learning, you really shouldn't start with a big game like this. Start smaller.

No you don't. If you did, it would move where you wanted it to, and it wouldn't go slower, faster then slower.

You don't program music (unless you're doing it properly and preloading it), you just drag it into the timeline. That's not programming.

You don't program animation. You program when the animation takes place, but you don't program the actual animation.

Haha what Crazy Cartoon said I was gonna say exctly all that stuff just in a different way. All you guys are starting when all you know is how to do click and move, and you just get that from some sort of tutorial. If you actually knew how to make click and go, then you should easily be able to program hittests.

Then why is it egregious? If it's simple, you should be able to improve it, make it so the movement actually works, for example. If not, learn until it is simple. When it's simple, you'll be able to actually make proper games that are enjoyable and fun to play.

Arghhh this forum has way too many games. If I made a forum like this then I would make way stricter rules about only allowing games with proof of work. Like more than just graphcis. Actually this game would qualify but so many games liek Duck world just don't qualify.
