Well, it's actually your best, but i doubt that the tutorial had a similar to this outcome.

It looks kinda dark and sepia-y to be Mario themed. Too much black space, some writing maybe. I do like the "scratch-n-crystal" effect. But since it's made with a tut:

This is a great improvement. This signature has a lot more drama and the focal really stands out. You do not need to make the focal stand out that much. The right side has nothing to it which makes the tag look incomplete. Also, do not blend your whole render with the effects.
