What he said. Except I'd rather take the path of no font. Fill up your backround more too, make two kinds of effects; focal effects and backround effects, but don't get it too crowded.

Yeah the text looks terrible but at least you kind of blended it. Anyway, the effects are alright, but some of the smudging looks excess and the depth isn't all that great.

It wouldn't matter to you anyway. I can criticize who I want and I know what I am saying, even if its not a smudge, you don't have the psd so you wouldn't know honestly it could be anything.
