Getting to Know the Navigation Bar

What is the navigation bar?
The navigation bar is located under the forum header. It includes links to the major forum pages.
You can view the navigation bar on any page of the forum as long as you scroll to the top of the page you are on. Many users refer to the Navigation Bar as the Navbar (shortened name).

What do the buttons do?
Home

This button brings you to the main forums. You will find all of our categories, forums, and subforums here. There is also a chat at the top where you can have a conversation with other forum members. Also, you can find information about who is online at the bottom of home.

FAQ
F.A.Q. stands for Frequently Asked Questions.
The faq contains information about the forum just like this guide does. What makes it different is that it is written by forumotion and not by our forum staff.

Search
From this button, you will be able to search through topics and posts. Just enter in the name of the topic you want to find, such as "Xbox" or "Beta Penguin List" and you will get a list of topics about the thing you have searched for.

Profile
Pressing this button will open up a list of things relevant to your account. It lists how many infractions you have (how many times you have broken the rules), the date you registered, and allows you to change your avatar (profile picture) and signature (a short message about anything you like that is added to the end of every message you send).

Mail/PM
PM stands for Private Messaging.
If you are allowed to use our private messaging system, you can use this button to get to your inbox. From here, you can send messages to other users which they cannot be seen by everyone, and receive messages. The button will change to say "New PM" when someone sends you a message.

Login/Logout
Press this button to sign off and on to the forum. When you sign back on, you will need to enter your username and password first.

Join/Register
This button allows you to join the forum if you do not have an account already. You will need an email address and password.

Frequently asked Questions:

Q:I can't see the navigation bar under the header! What's wrong?
A:It is likely that you do not have images enabled on your web browser. Our navbar uses images so you will need to have them enabled to use our site. We usually host our images on either photobucket or tinypic. If you have either of those blocked, you should unblock them.

Q: Why am I not getting any search results?
A: You are probably searching for something that doesn't exist on CPP. Use Goodle or Yahoo to search the internet for these topics.

Q:I want to add an avatar and signature. How can I do this?
