I'm making this topic as a way to share information, tools, and ideas to help people get their online games going, since it seems that very few people have ever been successful in bringing their games to life.

very good starting point for anyone who wants to start an online game, or server for any purpose.

The W3schools sitemap, where you can find tutorials on numerous scripting and markup languages. My list of good places to start out in order (the name of the language links back to its page):
- HTML - Standard internet markup language. A must know for anyone running a website or websites.
- XHTML - HTML, but better. Very little differences between HTML and XHTML.
- CSS - Styling webpages; "Styles define how to display HTML elements."
- XML - Carrying and storing data. Read more about XML in the Introduction page of the tutorial.
- Javascript - Adds interactivity to webpages.
- PHP - Server sided scripting, like Javascript, it makes webpages dynamic and interactive.
