Cost: 5$

Official Trailer (Courtesy of TelltaleGames) :
Spoiler:

In this game, you sit down at an underground club and just play Texas Hold 'em, but it takes a sharp turn by bringing the table to life with several characters across game franchises. , including the lovable Heavy from Team Fortress 2, Strong Bad from Homestar Runner, Max from the Sam and Max series and Tycho from Penny Arcade. Upon entering the club via a secret way down, (very cool animation) you plop right down with these famous characters in a setting where you wouldn't expect them to be in. Then everybody proceeds to buy in 10,000 smackeroos, including you, the player. And finally, you play some grand old, Texas hold 'em!

Graphics
Each of the characters in Poker Night at the Inventory are modeled using the animated style that is used in their game on choice, so the Heavy looks like the Team Fortress Heavy, while Strong Bad looks ripped straight out of the Telltale games that he starred in. Surprisingly, for a small game like this, the graphics are very nice (my pictures don't capture that at all). They're aren't kidding when you need a nice card to run it. The cards and poker chips look real enough, your almost there. The menus are easy to navigate, and look great, too.

Audio
The audio is probably the best part of this game, and makes it worthwhile. The characters are really themselves. There’s plenty of idle banter and one-liners to keep you going through several hands. Whats also very cool is that the characters talk to each other. For example, during one hand, Tycho started up a conversation about Heavy and his gun. The characters will talk directly too each other, and make fun of each other. It's a funny experience. You can adjust how chatty everyone is through the settings in the main menu. Each character has a few different skits when they bust out, and engage in one-on-one conversations throughout the match. The writing is just as witty as any other Telltale game and successfully blends the crazy origins of this strange cast. Wether it's Tycho cursing you out for making him fold, or everybody going "JEEZUHM" when you go all in, the audio is what has me coming back to this game.

Heavy and Tycho having a side-conversation. Also, that's Heavy's rapef- err I mean gameface.

Unlockables
During the game, some players will complain that they don't have enough money to buy in. With a little cut scene of other players convincing them, they give in and bet one of their precious items. When you beat said person in the tournament, you get their Tf2 item and can use it in TF2 wherever you please.

Final Thoughts (tl;dr) :

At the end of the day, it's a comedy show with a free card game added it. The poker does it work, and there's tons of dailouge will give you hours of non-repetitive game play. I'd pick it up if you like poker, comedy, or just for the tf2 unlocks. Sadly, no online and and Just Texas Hold 'em will make it repetitive in the end - but it's still a blast to be played for the tiny $5 payed.

+The Audio never gets old
+Fun Game Play
+Easy Tutorial on how to play
-No online
-Just Texas Hold 'em

I was interested in this game, since reading this I may jump on it considering it's on the cheap side. Nice review!
