I go with Paint.NEt, it's easiest for me & it's free.

I use Paint; and yes, it can compete with the others, it just takes a lot of practice.

Its obvious, Photoshop. Most of the others listed aren't as good.

Paint.net is OK but not as good as GIMP or Photoshop in my opinion.
GIMP is, again, OK but I don't use it alot but it is my backup editor.
Photoshop is the best because it can do, whatever you imagine. (Note: Notice signature text) It can do it but the only thing is, it can only do as much as the person using it. Just like a calculator, its only as smart as the person using it. Photoshop was made for companies to make graphics for their sites, or something like that. Most of the others are just used for people to make graphics for fun, but some companies may use them.

As far as graphics design, Gimp is just as good as Photoshop. It just takes a little while longer to learn. The fact that Paint.net is beating Gimp. Is kind of rediculous.

Photoshop is the best in my opinion it has all those tools ready for you to use, Gimp is not as good as PS and paint.net is the worst in the group but its ok although it takes a while to get used to .
