Sigh... I need braces. I'm getting them this Tuesday. I'm not happy because I won't get to chew gum,eat chips, etc. Please can someone make me feel any better? :(

Dont worry, i was scared too, I got my brcaes in MAy. THey dont hurt getting them on, but they do later for a little while. Then, they become part of your lives. You can still eat all that stuff, dont listen to thse silly orthodontists. lol ;)

I had braces and they are a pain I know but they make your teeth a lot better. Btw I hope I am not backseating a mod but smilygurl you double posted..

After a while you get used to them. I get mine off in the spring of next year.

Ahh, don't worry bout em. They only really hurt for the first 2 or 3 days, then you're good. And you don't have to listen to those orthodontists. You can eat whatever you want. I chew gum, eat chips and chewy stuff on a daily basis.

Oh jeez. I get mine off in about 5 weeks.

I got braces a year ago. People actually like when people get them. And you get to change the colors. I still ate chips, and the occasional piece of gum. Just STAY AWAY FROM GUSHERS.
