GIMP or PDN

I'm gonna get a GFX program, and I'm deciding between GIMP and PDN.

So, please vote on which on I should get and tell me WHY in a post!!!!

No, the only thing why GIMP is better than PDN is because it has the smudging tool. Which is needed if you want to become a a pro at GFX such as Karma, Kaka, Dark, etc.

But I'd stay start off with PDN first, then when you get the hang of it go with GIMP. Then when you have money get Photoshop. Lol

Gimp For sure, Its a good Free GFX program and seriously , its not that confusing if you read some tuts at http://www.gimptalk.com/ :P . , Unless....... You don't have a brain :0o .

It depends what you're planning to do with it. If you're looking for more of drawing designs, Paint.net would be better. But, if you're looking for designs in general, Gimp all the way.

Personally i prefer PDN, it's much easier to get the hang of, but GIMP's more powerful :P

Depends on your uses 'hun.

If it's for professinal things like banners, backgrounds, web design, sprites, etc. than Paint.net (PDN) for sure, it is VERY similar to Photoshop just you need to download the "filters".

GIMP is more for signatures. It's only real difference is smudging.

Yes and smudging is the reason why everyone is a pro at GFX. That is like the most powerful tool.

GIMP is probably best; sure, it takes some more practice, but it's MUCH more worth it.

No PDN is much more simpler. GIMP is a bit more complicated.
