You can do it this on GIMP. It's very easy to translate. ;)

Nice but a reflection is simple to make.

Your g in the reflection is to high. It is supposed to be touching or almost touching the object/text being reflected.

I know.
It's supposed to be glossy but then I put on "Outer Glow" then accidentally removed it, giving a choppy outline. I'm going to redo it anyway...

Looks really good, good choice of colors too.

It would probably be the exact same, since you guys allways say GIMP is the same as PS. :)

You need to add a gradient to the reflection and make it opaque it, than put a layer make on it with teh gradient.
