Happy Birthday, Jmg!

Subject: Happy Birthday, Jmg! October 10th 2008, 4:01 pm

Well, today is a very special day for my best friend, Jmg: his birthday.

Jmg is now thirteen years old! *blows stupid whistle thing that makes cool noise that I forgot the name of*

I've known Jmg since summer '07, when I first moved to North Carolina. His parents actually forced him to go down the street and meet me.

At the time, I didn't know there was anyone on my street my age, so meeting Jmg was a big surprise, as you can imagine.

Now, at first, I didn't think we had much in common--oh, sure, I went over to his house most days, but neither of us really talked. He played his video games, and I just kinda watched.

Then, one day, when my mom came to take me home (although I could have walked easily), everything changed.

My mom and Jmg's mom were talking...you know, that takes hours. Maybe not literally, but...

Anyway, somehow, somewhere, Jmg's mom brought up Club Penguin. At the time, Jmg was a pretty solid CP-lover...and so was I.

We would spend a good deal of time giving hints, tips, tricks, and learning all there was to know about Club Penguin. After that, we found more things in common, and he managed to introduce me to a ton of stuff I'm familiar with today, including my newfound fearlessness around dogs, my favorite movie, I Am Legend, some of my favorite songs, like Learning to Fly...yup, he's been there through it all, and I've been there through it all...when we flipped our car on the way home from Maryland, when Bill, Jmg's dog, passed away...

He's an awesome guy--oh, sure, not as active as some of you, but a really great person if you took the time to meet him. He's like a brother to me, and I to him, and I love him like you love your family.

So join me in wishing my best friend, Jmg, a very happy birthday!
