How do I put flash on this site?!?!

I just started using flash, I have an animation I'd like to add to my siggy, but I have no clue how to do it. I know it's like putting in images, where you have the things on both sides, and the URL in the middle, but what type of file does it need to be? Where is a website that lets you host that type of file online for free? Keep in mind I don't know any of this stuff, cause I just started using flash, like a few hours ago (I've been using online tutorials, but there isnt one for this) :S.
