DS help

I've decided to post this because I am sick and tired of not being able connect to Wi-fi via my DS.

I don't know why I can't connect, my Wii connects perfectly, but when I try to get my DS connected it can't find my router, so I can't connect.

I've tried everything I can think of so if anyone has had something like this happen to them and fixed it, please tell me. I am completely sure it has nothing to do with where I live because all my friends that have a DS can connect fine (despite the fact the Nintendo does not seem aware of the existence of China or Hong Kong).

No, that doesn't make any sense. If that were true than none of my friends would be able to connect their DSs to the internet aswell (there is only one internet provider in Hong Kong, and all of them have it).

This has happened to me aswell. I for some reason can't connect to wi-fi.
Nothing happens when I try to connect.

Yeah when I make my DS search for a search it just turns up blank, so I can't get in.

Same mine will not work you need to be near your internet connection!

It works for me. Don't you have to get a bunch of information like your server number, etc., IP address, etc? It didn't take very long to connect mine, but my dad had to find a bit of information he got from the options page or something. I forget, it was a while ago. =(
