Advertisements/Affiliations?

Subject: Advertisements/Affiliations? June 2nd 2010, 8:24 am

We need some advertisements ideas that will be somewhat agreed on by the majority of us. A idea that keeps coming up is affiliation. Which basically is we either double event or someone pays us to put up ads of their stuff. Gogogogo

I don't think adding text ads to other websites would work. It would hamper the rate of new users to users leaving, and would mean some users would leave to an advertised forum when they see Club Penguin isn't popular with some users.

I think direct agreements with other site admins would be more ideal. We could sponsor contests and updates on other forums, while they sponsor CPP activities.

For example, let's say we had a penguin player card contest. We could put a banner for {INSERT WEBSITE NAME HERE} at the top of the contest thread, and give away prizes provided by the sponsor. The same would happen on the other forum, but instead we give away prizes to the winner.

Either way, I'd like to see text ads implemented for all users before we do this. Therefore, any new users will click on the ads, improving profits.
