New Forum

Ok, so a lot of users and staff have been talking about abandoning the Club Penguin part of the forum, renaming the entire forum, and creating a whole new community, but still using this actual forum. Like the users and posts will stay, just a different domain and such. I am entirely for this, seeing that our active users aren't interested in Club Penguin, and if we go to a more Teen sort of pre teen whatever. Non Club-Penguin. I think we will gain a wider range of people who can contribute well and are mature. So I am just going to put this in a poll, if you think we should. I am all for it, what about you?

According to Triton the forum was made for them, but I guess if you do stay they're going to weed the teens from the kids and ignore you.

Dude, put it this way: is it that bad to have a CP section? We still get to talk about the things we like whilst getting a few posts from the younger users in the CP section. We should aim to serve both groups at the same time, so in my opinion we should expand the teen-related topic forums on the forum, rather than deleting the CP sections.

The CP section will stay, no matter what we do. It will just not be the main part of the forums. So, no worries on that.

Honestly, I don't want a "teen" forum. I've seen a lot of these which just die because of nothing. It is a forum to talk about anything, but no one wants to talk about anything. People want topics to talk about. Ones that they like. If we say the forums have everything for anyone to post on, who says that other members will reply? It's no fun to post a thread and be the only one to have posted in it or have anyone else talk about it.

I think we might need to somewhat abandon the CP part, not really abandon... just take it down a bit, but not go straight to a Teen forum. We need a forum with 1 main topic, and then many smaller topics.

It's not becoming a teen forum, but more of a general forum. There are many users who aren't teens yet and I enjoy being around them just as much as a teen.

Yes, I have to agree with this because Club Penguin has just kind of gotten old. Maybe we should make a community forum something like the whole theme of the Chillout Forum but something a little more different than that.

You guys may also have to know a few down sides of this though if we were to go through with this. You would probably have to make new advertisment sigs and all those things. But that main thing is what are we going to name the forum and what is going to be our site theme? No, im not talking about the visual theme like the GFX, the basic theme like this ones is Club Penguin.

Yeah. I think that if the topic is going to be changed, everyone should get a say in what it should be, and that a lot of time is spent choosing it. An important decision should have a lot of thought behind it.
But I'd rather keep the forum the same and just expand the teen topics.
