I know the forum looks nicer without widgets, but could we maybe get the recent topics scroller back? It was really useful because now it's kind of hard to tell who's posting where.

It slowed down the forum so we removed it.

It didn't slow me down. But I guess it would to other computers since it moves/scrolls. I also agree with Kaka, it feels different...

If you have Greasemonkey installed in Firefox you could probably add a recent topics box... I'll look at some other GM scripts and try to put something together.

I asked about this when we added the different version, but Bronze said it slowed people down. It doesn't slow me down. I would also like it back, I was just thinking about how we should have it.

I don't want to be accused of things I haven't done.

Not that it was a bad thing, firstly, I never used it because the list of posts was too short, and secondly, I could be running at speeds of up to 6mb/s using the latest browser and yet still have to painfully scroll down the page at an incredibly slow speed.

You could just access the complete list of posts since your last visit here, rather than just getting ten or so posts and it taking five minutes to open them.
