Well I mostly only use splatter brushes for clipping masks. I use grunge brushes sometimes to.

Well..all i use are splatter brushes too, but i know some brushes for beginners..
You should download the splatter and grunge though. :)..and heres some others..

You may use Photoshop Brushes for GIMP.

i never use GIMP Brushes.

Only Photoshop brushes ;)
