I'm a fan of both, but some rap out there is just real garbage. You can never go wrong with rock, though.

A.) That's KISS, they're really one of the only ROCK bands that has ever done that.
B.) They don't "yell into a microphone," that's HEAVY METAL ROCKERS.
C.) Rap isn't different in those terms; someone with a beat talking into a microphone.

Rock is the dominant music. Today, when our fathers/mothers hear a song by Led Zeppelin on the radio they say "Oh, I heard this when I was a kid," and let us listen to it. I don't want to hear "Soulja Boy" and have to turn it off in disgust and say "Son, if you're EVER like that I will abandon you."

Lol. Yep. Pretty much covers it. And plus, rockers are more famous and get richer. Ya think Soulja boy will be singing in 30 years? YEAH! MAYBE AT A LOCAL ELDERLY HOME!

I cant beleive you actually said that. Name how many bands you know off the top of youre head that wear make up. Umm..KISS is all i could think of right now! Rock isnt about makeup. its about the lyric and music. Rap is the saying "random stuff in the microphone." Talking really fast and always singing *I mean talking* about money,girls,cars, takes no talent. Rock is not always shouting. Thats..erm..screamo. I know its youre opinion but that post was way off.
