We've worked out that it's not a faulty button, but that Ninja Mod got some "friends" to vote for him.

And there's no need to reset it - just ignore the entry for NM (that is if he is disqualified).

I've tried doing this little cheat on other polls, and it doesn't work.

Yes, but still every vote from someone that doesn't, you have to look at as if it is the deciding vote.

Is anything foolproof? Your right this was not supposed to be a popularity contest, which it has turned to be, not that it wasn't forming already. By restarting the contest it will cause all you candidates to go out and campaign even more now that most of your biggest supporters already think they voted.

Just because it doesn't say "You can't make new accounts/have friends make new accounts to get your vote up" doesn't mean you can do it.

CC doesn't cheat and works for his vote. Its worth it to vote for him, because he deserves the votes. He rightfully got them.

I do agree that it's immature to ask your friends to vote for you. I doubt Obama or McCain went up to their friends and asked them to vote for them. They probably provided their friends with information on why they would make a good VP. Users didn't vote for CC because they were his friend. They voted because they thought he would be CPP's best president.
