My best mate died..

Today ive spent most of the time in tears or close enough to,
My mate Rikki was in training today at the ice rink i was watching from the bench when Mike slipped and his skate went into the throat of Rikki, i have no idea what he cut but blood was just pouring out ,
he was rushed to Ninewells hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival,

i feel realy sad not only was he one heck of a player he was one heck of a man, allways looking out for people allways kind and funny,
i just wish maybe it was me instead of him :'(

Dude, I'm so sorry. This is why I don't Ice Skate anymore. Maybe you can find out what he cut because it could have been really important. Also, Mike, who ever he is, might be dealing a lot about this. Since he slipped, he's probably feeling lots of guilt right now.

You shouldn't have gone it was his time god just decided it. thats how life just is hopefully hes up in heaven playing hockey right now.

Oh wow. That's scary not just that your friend is dead but that you had to be there to see the blood pouring out. Was he in shock or anything because maybe he didn't feel it. That'd be much better. He probably cut hit main blood vessel in his neck...Eww 8X

He was in proper shock, he didn't say a word though,
i found out he got his carotid artery serverd.

He was in proper shock, he didn't say a word though,
i found out he got his carotid artery serverd.

His life could've been saved if someone went out there and put there hand into the neck to stop the artery from bleeding. You have to clog it. :sigh:

Considering that you unintentionally killed one of your teammates and possibly one of your good friends? Yeah. Keep an eye on Mike, Man, or something. I know I'd find it pretty difficult to live with something like that.

That's terrible, though. :( It's so hard to find words to express what I actually feel, especially through the computer...there just doesn't seem to be a way to word it.

Someone probably raises his voice at him but when you slip it's an accident. I'd feel horrible right now.

I feel really bad for you, really really bad, that has really got to be bad...

To others, killing your friend probably leaves you covered with extreme guilt for quite a while, if not forever...

Tomorow we are having a team meeting,
basicaly everyone is going to re assure mike that it was a freak accident,
Im sure he's getting counciling as well to help him.

Well, atleast it was rather quick... It would've been worse if he took like a few hours to die in pain...

I feel really bad. I once heard on T.V, god looked at his garden and wanted another one of the people he loved, why would he pick a weed, when he could pick a flower. Your friend was a flower that god wanted for his garden.
