Sadly, yes I might get it. There's really no need to panic. I'm sure they will straighten things out in the next few days. People in Mexico, I feel horrible for you. There's a cure for it, but they're running out fast and the new vacine won't be ready for afew more months, when the disease will get worse.

| Guess what? This is influenza A! :D Except it's mutated... Like it always has been and does everytime it shows up.
This is all the media says. There are 7 confirmed cases in America. Not 20, not 120, 7. This is one of the least deadly and harmful Influenza's ever. We only think it is weird is because it showed up at a weird time. Nothing else. Easy cure, and it will be soon mass produced. This thread is virtually a lie.
I wish you guys actually listened to the trusted sources... T.T

| If there is no vaccine, and no treatable medicine, you are bound to get it at some point. Don't worry, it won't kill you. It's like the normal flu, don't worry so much. Sometimes vaccines give you the flu too.
In case you didn't know killing all the pigs won't do anything. It's a combination of three strands of DNA in the virus, human, pig, and bird.
A virus is not living nor dead, so there is no way to destroy it, the only way it will go away is if it is dormant, and viruses attack by hooking onto a cell and injecting the DNA into the cell's nucleus, then the cell will make copies of the virus, and the viruses will burst the cell, that is an example of a lytic infection. Which is what the swine flu virus does.
Viruses become dormant after a long time, eventually every virus can come back. You just never know when. That's why there is no cure for AIDS or anything like that, viruses aren't living.
I live in North Texas and it's pretty bad here and im bound to get it at some point. But that's just life, it won't be too bad.
P.S. There are FDA unconfirmed medicines for the flu, but their are no cures or vaccines for the swine flu. P.S.S. A vaccine works by injecting antibodies that recognize the virus when it enters your system, sometimes they don't get to it in time, hence you get the mutation of the antibodies and the flu.

i think thats a lie cause they said in mexico over 80 ppl died cause of some kid playin with a pig That's because they probably didn't go see a medical doctor, or they didn't keep sanatized which just allowed more bad bacteria to come in over the virus.

This thing called the flu has killed under 100 people. The flu normally kills 40,000 people. All of this is exaggerated by the biased news media. That's what's happening.

| The only reason every ones freaking out is because its new. The medias blowing it out of proportion and people like you believe them. The only reeson people in Mexico have died is because there a third world country who are poor. |

Shocker: Swine Flu Not Nearly As Dangerous As Regular Flu
As the World Health Organization raised its infectious disease alert level Wednesday and health officials confirmed the first death linked to swine flu inside U.S. borders, scientists studying the virus are coming to the consensus that this hybrid strain of influenza — at least in its current form — isn’t shaping up to be as fatal as the strains that caused some previous pandemics.
In fact, the current outbreak of the H1N1 virus, which emerged in San Diego and southern Mexico late last month, may not even do as much damage as the run-of-the-mill flu outbreaks that occur each winter without much fanfare.
“Let’s not lose track of the fact that the normal seasonal influenza is a huge public health problem that kills tens of thousands of people in the U.S. alone and hundreds of thousands around the world,” said Dr. Christopher Olsen, a molecular virologist who studies swine flu at the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine in Madison.
