I am thinking of asking my parents for a laptop for my birthday this month, but I don't know what kind to get. Can someone tell me what kind of laptop is the best?

You're gonna have to get something cheap, you know--if it were me asking my parents for a laptop, it would have to be relatively cheap, so don't go with the latest and greatest; try for something older that works nice.

As to what that is...I have no idea. :P My dad's laptop is nice, and when he got it, it was around $600, so it's probably even less now. I dunno where I check the version or whatever.

Bewarned, it's Vista. :P

Check out Circuit City, they have an AMAZING dual-core 2GB Ram 800mb graphics laptop for $399. I might get it. :O

Get a MacBook Original, Pro, or Air. They're all in the 1,000-2,900 range.

They also have the worlds most enhanced operating system, Mac OS X Leopard. :)

Didn't circuit city file bankruptcy? XD

Get a Fujitsu Lifebook. The screen can be used as a tablet, and it can twist and turn :D

I found an Acer that was on sale for about 430$. Since my Aunt is giving me 100$ for my birthday I could lower the price 100$.

@Grizzle Man: Acers are really good, but again if you plan on gaming with vista, your making a wrong turn, but whatever else your fine :P
