Game Maker Tutorial...?

Could I get a tutorial on how to make a multiplayer chat? I can't find any...

Game Maker 7 Pro is what I use, and the tutorial I need...

Game maker 7 pro has a thing where you can make it online, but it needs a server.

Wrong.

If you're going to make a multiplayer chat, you should probably go to YoYoGame's resource page and find the tutorial, but before that you need to learn advanced GML scripting so you know what you're doing. Then, find a way to get it on the internet and keep it operational and voila.

You still need a server to host it on. I'd also use something like Illustrator or Photoshop to make the graphics.

Thanks payton, I'll look at yoyo games to see if they have one.

I already know where to get a free server. (although it only holds like 20 people) it will ve good for a start.

Wait, is it any bit possible to run this on a MySQL and phpMyAdmin? If it is, I need to get that tutorial because I've already learned how to run a database like that.

A) Smartfox needs your own server for you to install it on, not just hosting.
B) You can't run games on MySQL without a lot of Java going on, which is the point of Smartfox.
