How do you make your own site, like what program do you use to make really good sites that can be yours!!!

You need to know atleast HTML and CSS, and maybe a little javascript.

Well, you need:

-Good hosting service, free or if you can, pay for it.
-CSS, HTML and Javascript knowledge as Mickey said, so you could edit/make your own templates.
-FTP client, FileZilla is a good one.
-Domain name (Optional, but preferred). You could get a .com one from your hosting service or a free co.cc one.
-An editing program such as PS (Purchasable) or Gimp (Free).
-Patience, lots of it.

Yeah, Wordpress you can make, get Wordpress credits, and you can have a CSS. Pretty cool :).

I have one, but it's currently down.

Some people say "Make a Wordpress" or "Make a FreeWebs" but the best is to learn XHTML and CSS.

It's simple, really. For instance. When you do a post here, and you click "bold" you usually get this "[b][ /b]" only with out the space. Thats HTML.

That's not HTML. That's bbcode.

To get a bold text on a forum you do [b][/ b]... on a website you do <strong></strong>

Depends what type of site you're looking for.
A blog can easily be done at http://wordpress.com
A reasonable free site host is: http://freewebs.com

Other than that, you'll need to learn HTML.
You could also use Macromedia Fireworks. I hate fireworks, but from a beginners prospective, I can see it as useful.
HTML is simple really.

Remember to close the tags, after you open them. BBCode will have vague similarities.

Also, if you use HTML from your local directory, you'll need to have a server to host it on. This is easily enough done.

That's generally good advice, but its not necessary that you know how to program in order to create a site from scratch (or very little).

Website creation software can make the process much easier.

However, I'm not able to recommend any software at this point since I don't know what OS your running.

There is a lot of people suggesting things, but if you are not familiar with HTML or Javascript, you should try out these free website makers: Weebly and Webs. I've tried them out, and they're pretty good. Search Google those names, because if I give out the link that'd be advertising. lol.

Well, the website makers use default templates. So, if you want to make your own (if you're up to it) use Piczo.

If you want your own domain, you'll probably need to buy a server.
Wordpress is good for beginners.

Well thier are several things you can do. The first would be the hard way and to do that you would have to have HTML, and CCS skills (www.com). or you can go easy and make a piczo or wordpress which you really dont need to have any skills to do.

If you were to make a website, then you would need to learn HTML and CSS. A wordpress is a good start in my opinion. That's the only website I have ever used.
