| How to register on iCP and join in the fun (Guide courtesy of Iced8383)
- Go to http://www.icpv3.com/
- Click on the "register" tab near the top of the page:
- Fill out your registration form, type in the letters in the box, and click REGISTER.
- Press the "download" tab once the next page has loaded:
- Choose your Operating System from the two buttons that come up (Windows or Mac):
- Locate the iCPv3 client in your downloads folder and open it.
- You'll be greeted by a screen that looks like this:
- Hit the "I Agree" button and follow the normal Club Penguin login procedure, only with your iCP username and password.
Many users have asked about iCP issues. Here, you can find answers to most asked questions, and ask any unanswered questions to the CPP userbase. For a list of Item Codes you can use to unlock items, this link. The code used to unlock items is at the bottom of this guide. F.A.Q.1. Is iCP a virus or dangerous to my computer? No, so long as you download the official version from http://www.icpv3.com, your computer will be safe. We have tested it with anti virus software. 2. Is using iCP illegal? The owners of iCP are legally at risk because they are using copyrighted designs by the Club Penguin team, but you as a player are not responsible. It is not illegal to use icp.3. Am I allowed to talk about hacking or cheating iCP in CPP?You aren't allowed to talk about hacking the real Club Penguin, but you are allowed to talk about hacking iCP because the iCP staff have allowed hacking and will not challenge CPP for hosting this discussion. 4. Can I buy my own copy of iCP?No, don't purchase anything. You can get a copy of iCP v2 from the iCP unofficial chat (http://www.xat.com/icphelp). This will require a large knowledge of PHP. 5. Will CPP be hosting their own private server similar to iCP?Yes, we are currently developing an edition of iCP where CPP users get to dictate what takes place in the game. This is currently incomplete. Any questions you may have should be sent to HelloPayton, Brian or BronzeRevolution. 6. If I am a member on iCP, does that mean I can be a member on the real Club Penguin for free? No, your iCP account is very different to your real Club Penguin account. What you do on iCP is hosted on iCP's servers, not on Club Penguin's servers. 7. Can the iCP staff get my password, and if so, can they get my Club Penguin account?Yes, your iCP password is stored on the iCP databases, and is available to the iCP staff. We suggest you use a different password, to make sure your Club Penguin account is safe. 8. I can't download iCP! What should I do?Try visiting http://www.icpv3.com/downloadclient/iCPv3.exe for the Windows client, or http://www.icpv3.com/downloadclient/iCPv3.zip for the Mac client. If the files won't download, it is likely that iCP is down for repair, or has been hacked. We suggest waiting a week or two to allow the files to work again. 9. How do I register for iCP?Visit http://www.icpv3.com/register/ and choose: - a username with 3-12 characters. - a password (we suggest you not to use your Club Penguin password) - an email to register with - a color for your penguin (you can always purchase a new one later) 10. How can I get free items? To get an item or coins, you must know the following: - the code to unlock the item or earn the coins - the item number, unique to the individual item The codes are:- !AI [ITEM ID GOES HERE] for items - !AC [NUMBER OF COINS GOES HERE] for coins To find the item ID, visit this link.note: you can only get up to 5,000 coins each time you use the coin code.If you have any more questions related to iCP, ask them here.

| Adding something to point seven: - Quote :
- 7. Can the iCP staff get my password, and if so, can they get my Club Penguin account?
Yes, your iCP password is stored on the iCP databases, and is available to the iCP staff. We suggest you use a different password, to make sure your Club Penguin account is safe. There are lots of tools online for generating random, secure passwords that I recommend you use; I use a different password for just about everything nowadays because it's just a smart thing to do. To my knowledge, all passwords for iCP are hashed with MD5, however, using a simple password like baseball is a lot easier to decrypt than say x2#dU7$. I don't want it too seem like I'm saying that iCP staff would use your password for ill intent or even try to decrypt it at all; they're trustworthy people, however, it's not impossible for something to go wrong or for someone to want to "hack" someone else, and because of those reasons, I strongly suggest a randomly generated password.

| Since this is so popular, why not just make a sub-forum about it? | |

I'm registering an IRC channel so we don't have to use the forum chatbox. Personally I think the forum chatbox should be for forum discussion and just off topic nonsense, and our private server project should have its own little place; and I hate our chatbox. edit: You're free to discuss it anywhere you like, but if you want to discuss it with me: #cpp on irc.kbfail.net:6667 Also, to anyone affiliated with this project: Please use the IRC to discuss things with me

EDIT: Just a note, might be good for the FAQ: iCPv3 does not use any of the old iCPv2 source. (For good reason, it doesn't work well, is inefficient, and last of all, far too easy to take down!)

Not that hard to use Google. Not that hard to use Bing too. QUESTION: Although it's about iCPP (or whatever you're going to call it), would it be posibble to use your iCP account on it?
