| I want to jailbreak my iPhone 3G with IOS4. I need someone experienced with jailbreaking to direct me towards the correct way.
Oh and BTW, jailbreaking iPhones isn't illegal anymore. | |

| It is a complicated procedure which in a matter of months will destroy the whole iPHONE, it is not recommended for continued use purposes, instead for a test iPod touch or iPhone. | |

Mines been jailbroken for 1 year and still runs fine...don't post stuff unless your actually sure about it. :roll: | |

Does anyone have any information? I'll be doing it soon with my iPhone 3G. Im currently jailbroken on 3.1.2, so I shouldn't have much trouble, but I'll let you know how it goes. | |

| Jailbreakme.com is one method. Just go to it on your safari app and slide to jailbreak. You do not have to even restart the iDevice. For somebody who is new to this like you, I would suggest the Jailbreakme method.
The other method is Redsn0w. It is still straight forward but it takes quite a few steps. You can customize the iPod touch boot logos with it though. This only works for iDevices with the old bootrom. | |
