That doesn't answer this question.

| @ Triton- It is. You are expecting it to happen in an hour. It takes thousands of years to notice. You won't see it distincly in your lifetime (probably) and you won't see it happen to any one person.
@ Klueless- The fossils don't show we evolve from apes.

@ Klueless- The fossils don't show we evolve from apes. Exactly. Therefore evolution does not exist. Well i think it doesn't =P

| No, the fossils provided the evidence that no, we didn't evolve from apes, the apes and us evolved from a common species. | |

| But if the apes and us evolved from a common species, there must be the common species that evovled from apes? | |

| No, apes are still around today, nothing has evolved from them yet, I'm guessing. | |

| Exactly. So then, evolution must not exist. | |

| But how are you to decide when at any given time it should happen? If it is by a supt natural being couldn't it happen at any rate? | |

| @ Klueless- Well, that doesn't say that evolution doesn't exist. Just because they haven't changed very noticably doesn't mean they won't or nothing ever has. Evolution would explain the disappearance of a lot of specie's whose fossils were found and can't be found anywhere on Earth.
@ Triton- It couldn't happen at any rate. Whole generations must go by for evolution to happens because it is from breedings of mutations and different species.

| But argie. I don't think you understand. Evolution is darwins theory. Your more talking about adaptations of animals to their environments. Theres a huge difference between those two. darwins theory suggests that we evolved from apes. | |

| Adaption and evolution could intertwine. Mutations do have to do with evolution, because I do believe in natural selection and survival of the fittest. Yep, that could go with adaption, sort of. | |

| But where does evolution have any start? It doesn't trace anywhere down history line? Surely someone should have discovered if it was true. | |

| Discovered it? As I said, it took thousands, no, MILLIONS, of years for this to happen. We haven't really got that much time in our family history lines to check Mr. Greatgreatgreatgreatrepeat Grandfather's grave for different skull bones. | |

| You don't mutate in adaptation. Your physical being adapts. Do your really think, that when beings are so complexed they could evolve overtime into something else ? What if something got left behind when something evolved, that malfunctions the thing entirely. We are too complex to just evolve by chance. And argie, if we haven't got that much time to search for genetics of discovery, then how is evolution proved true? | |

| No, but why haven't past civilizations followed this belief. How come all of a sudden in our generation of great religion confusion out sprung this theory and was considered true by few? | |

| For the first thing, mutations could count for adaption. They probably would, as a SPECIES- a GROUP- adapts to the new conditions. Not a single organism, that wouldn't do much for them themselves if their offspring mutated. Yes, I do believe that. Nothing can be malfunctioned with chance, it all happens the way it happens. And beings as simple as fish used to be not that complex. Even complex things can change, too. Evolution is proved true by all the different fossils found of all the different species and the likeness of us between our "cousins", the apes. As I said before... I won't even repost it. @ Triton- It sprung out because we EVOLVED ( ) into intelligent enough beings to study things and all and we found evidence, unlike the fish in your fishtank could. | |

| But evolution was first brought up by Darwin. And if we did just all of a sudden evolve into this thinking wouldn't that contradict what you said about it taking millions of years? Also, it's not arguing it's debating! :P | |

| Actually, Darwin's grandfather (correct me I've I'm wrong) made an earlier theory of evolution, only Charles Darwin's theory made more sense and was more detailed, so now Charles Darwin's theory of evolution is what is most meaned by that. Just another anonymous note... | |

| ITS A THEORY. Theres obviously a reason why it remains a theory! not enough proof perhaps? | |

| We just haven't seen it happen before our own eyes yet (well, we did a little with antibiotic resistance), but we need to see how macroscopic creatures will change over the course of time, but due to human impacts, we could see it happen in as little as a century... And another thing: the common ancestor of humans and apes was called Pierolapithicus catalaunicus, and dated as far back as 13 million years ago. Studies show it evolved both into the modern Homo sapiens (that's us!) and gorrilas. THIS IS AN ANONYMOUS NOTE. | |
