I actually have to agree with this. Club Penguin has gotten most of it's users from CP, and that is what has made it succesful. Changing it to a gaming forum will either drive more users away who aren;t intersted or stop the steady flow of new users(yes, there is a steady flow of users, whether a large quanity or small).

This is what I tried to say in the Staff Forum in the first place.

If we changed it to a Gaming Forum, it's more like for male users and again, kinda sexist, IMO. Plus, like Smileygurl said. Most of the users joined this forum because of CP. If we turn this into a gaming forum, you'll probably lose half the members on the forum. Not gain more.

Either way, I don't like having an opinion and then changing it the moment someone comes along and says something different, but HelloPayton has a point. I didn't want a change of topic, but then everyone else did, so I just went along with it.

True, CPP has gotten most of its active members from CP, but do we really need more idiotic comments from newbies who pay no attention to what is being said to them? Do we need more obnoxious kiddies? We can't offer that much help regarding CP; most of our users have already outgrown the game itself. Why hide under the misleading guise of this being a CP forum, while 75% of the userbase doesn't even play Club Penguin anymore? The number of new registration has been going down lately, as well, doesn't that tell you that something is wrong? A video games forum may not be the best choice (and it certainly isn't the only), but I still do support the topic change.
P.S. This forum is actually a gaming forum already - is CP not a game? A gaming forum may not be the best choice (and it certainly isn't the only).

I don't agree with most of the decisions the staff make, but I again, I'm hard to please. Staff-wise, I'd say things have been improving lately, actually - if only a little.

The only ones saying that are the most guilty.
And I only want to "stir up the users like... the past" because they lie on their stomachs and take the whips of staff.

And the last"christian" thread was when? The excuse of us being a "power hungry, religion forcing, staff" is totally ridiculous. I want you to show me proof why we're like that. Also, your doing the same thing when you mention that the users have a lack of "brainpower" you put thoughts such as your military and violent comments. Once you say the word revolution, everyone's on board. And what power do we crave? Locking and deleting threads?

And mostly all the arguments against changing are from users that were the main supporters of changing it when the idea was first introduced. And speaking of that, this idea was totally pushed by the users. The first thread that sparked this idea was by a user. I will say I had the first though, but I never wanted it to become this big, I was going to keep it hidden for a while, but some users said that they wanted it done, so I let them do it and I supported them.

@Neo: Banning? The last banned user was you..oh wait now I get why you said that. :roll:

I think the last user banned was me. I should still be banned. But i'm cool, right? :(

How come you have to be the one to come in and save them all when they could do it for themselves? Whenever these threads are made, it seems to be the same users over and over again posting on these. Then, after it is over, they go back to however they normally are.

Don't you wish you had the power to change people? Anyone in the world? Whether it be me or anyone else. Don't you feel this world would be better without certain people or certain opinions. Opinions that cause misery and strife? Now, replace the word "world" with forum. You know you answered "Yes" to atleast one of those.

I agreed to join this forum. And most topics that are locked for flaming are people expressing their opinion. And I have the "ability" to kill anyone I want. I have a kitchen knife in access. Does that mean I kill people?

When was the last time you saw a user stick up against the staff? Well? And I mean about how they are doing their job. Fact is, you've chained everyone here up so much, they can hardly SPEAK, never mind say "You're not a very good moderator"

This post is about the topic situation because I want to make something clear. I see a lot of people in this thread who said we should switch at first but now they are changing their minds.

Well, make up your mind please. We were given the vibe that most people want a change so speak up right away from now on.

If you look at the new forum poll that dirk created, switch won. 4 people voted no but it seems like more than 4 people don't want change.

So if you are wondering why things sometimes to not go your way, maybe you should take polls.

This is going to get dramatic so fast. Maybe I should just ban every user on the forum so there is no more drama :D

I may be only a noob, but I can say I would not want a change, when forums get too broad, or generic in topic, it tends to "slow" them down if you know what I mean. I have experience with other forums. I hardly post on this one. But It's up to you guys not me. Just throwing in my sense.

People can't "grow up" and speak their opinions? Why must it be all "I'm going to keep posting this until you'll listen."? We are reading the threads, but we will close them when things are taken out of hand or, as I said, are pushing the rules. If you want to express your opinions, then do it, but try to be mature while doing so.

Where exactly have you heard that they want to "stick up" to the staff? What's to say that everyone here is against us? Just because you think it, then everyone will go with you?

We try to let threads like that go awhile, but then they turn into a bonfire, flames everywhere. Triton just made a new thread for this. Post any staff complaints that you have there. It can be found in this same forum, stickied.
