| I would have never found this. I personally don't like portals, I'm sure that's why it's not defaulted. But it gives you the latest updates on the forum. | |

Not really because the off topic chat forum is selected to show...

Not really because the off topic chat forum is selected to show... Yeah, what I mean is it gives you updates on the off topic section.

Becuase only the most important buttons are up there. If they put another the forum would be to big for a screen so you would have to scroll from side-to-side.

| I know, I know. Prob CPP started out with a portal, then some admins decided "Portals don't look good," and then they removed the button.
I don't think you can delete a portal, though.

| I think every forumotion forum has portal, just because most of forum doesn't have a portal button for it. The portal is seems confusing and unorganised for me. | |

| Forumotion forums ALWAYS have a portal as long as you put the /portal.htm at the end of a forum address.
Originally, the portal showed the administration forum. :face: I forget who...someone found it and we reported it to RTL. He changed it to display Chit-Chat.
We may work it out so that it displays the Forum News section so that if anyone is looking, it's an update feature instead of a pointless one. ~Egaro

| I believe you can delete it in the original files in the FTP, if you were going to. | |

| I mean in the FTP, where all the forum is uploaded to the web. Unless you don't have access to these, because forumotion host it? | |

| Yup, Forumotion has access to that. People like CC'eh! who have coded their own forum could take it in/out, but we can't. ~Egaro | |

~Egaro I disagree. In my forum, it states, "Portal is not active. Administrators can install it in the Admin Panel." So like BT or someone said, Dark or RTL just replaced the button with a 1x1 pixel transparent image. :P
