Bumping rule

Subject: Bumping rule July 3rd 2009, 1:50 pm

I've seen Linky1123 bump 3 times in different topics. They were also in the same day.
I was gonna warn him, but I thought bumping was allowed. So I let him go free.

Well, what do you think? If it is allowed, that's fine. But if it isn't, why isn't it the bumping rule on the "Rules" thread?

There was a new set of rules being made afew weeks ago but I'm not sure if those went into effect yet.

Same, I still don't see it. I guess it's allowed. But with Linky bumping 3 times on different topics in the same day. :O It's too much.

I remember this one bumping rule at an old forum that I went to...

"You are allowed one bump per thread twenty-four (24) hours after the last post created in the thread"

Basically it means a topic can't be bumping unless it has been inactive for 24 hours. As long as that is inforced, I see no problem in bumping different topics.

That's not the point. What I'm trying to say is, if bumping is not allowed, it should be said in the "rules." If it is allowed...well then. I don't think Linky or any other person should be bumping less than 24 hours.

Just make it so you can only bump a thread once per day.

It isn't part of the rules, yet. As long as it is in different threads, I see no problem. As long as no one gets carried away and starts bumping everything.

You can bump a thread as long as it doesn't break any other rules.
For example, you can't just post "BUMP" that would be spamming.
