The Kings of Now

1. The Kings of Now
2. On The Run
3. Holdin' On (to Rock And Roll)
4. Somewhere: Part I
5. Fearless
6. Waste Away
7. Octave Song (Instrumental)
8. Time

You have just read the official track names to my upcoming solo album, The Kings of Now. I will be releasing two 30-second previews of Somewhere: Part I, and Kings of Now, very soon. Recording these will take time, but I have been writing various times throughout 2009 and part of this year, although I started in 2008, almost a full year after I started playing guitar.

Today, I had an average day of school. I talked to my friends, got in trouble, all the usual. However, I came home to a surprise. I was a T-Mod, and I would like to thank the staff once more for making such a decision. I made a big mistake last time. You may also have noticed I changed the lyrics and video in my signature. Those are both to go along with this whole thing. I am back with a vengeance. I will not mess this up.

Now, as for the album, I was planning to start recording while I was in my friend's band in September (before I returned to CPP on Halloween), but we split up because our lead singer (by the way, we are all in the same grade and all go to the same school) was sent to the trailer, and because we couldn't get a good drummer. One was a jerk, while the other was not as good as required.

Now, if you would like a hint at what Gunfire will sound like, listen to Bullets by Creed.

Completed Songs:
1. Kings of Now (Intro [1 Minute] + 5 Minutes = 6 Minutes) Inspired by Tesla
2. On The Run (Intro [1 Minute] + 3 Minutes = 4 Minutes) Inspired by Iron Maiden
3. Holdin' On (to Rock and Roll) Inspired by Def Leppard and Airbourne
4. Somewhere: Part I (6 Minutes) Inspired by Gov't Mule
5. Fearless (7 Minutes) Inspired by Creed
6. Waste Away (3 Minutes) Inspired by Alter Bridge
7. Octave Song (8 Minutes) Random Song
8. Time (7 Minutes) Inspired by Creed

Total: 42 Minutes
Required: 30+ Minutes
Estimated Final Total: 40 Minutes

I am still in the writing process right now. I have 5 songs ready, while I am writing 5 more right now. The one I am writing right now as I type this is Broken Bridge, one of the greatest songs I have ever written.

Forgotten Faces was renamed to "Freedom By The Bell".
Silence was renamed to "Holdin' On to Rock And Roll".
The opening track, Crown of Thorns, was renamed to "The Kings of Now".
I Stand Alone was renamed to "Time".

Writing for The Kings of Now is finally complete (I started from scratch, and ended up writing the whole thing in just afew hours), and it was revealed to be 6 minutes long. It is one of the most epic songs I have ever written.

4 Completed Songs = 23 Minutes

I am still 7 minutes short, but that will all be fixed when the other 6 songs are complete in the writing process.

Could you record the songs onto a microphone and put them on YouTube?

Writing for Time is now complete. I changed things up quite abit on that song. It now sounds like a Creed song, and it is an amazing ending song, but it is only vocal and guitar, but it turned out to be 4 minutes plus 1 more with the intense effect at the start.

On The Run has just been completed. It currently contains my best solo, and this also means I have two songs remaining to finish writing. Somewhere: Part I, as well as Holdin' On, should be completed this weekend.

Fearless has been totally rewritten. It went from being a complete waste of 3 minutes of your life to being 7 minutes of pure epic darkness. Actually, this is the darkest song on the album. If you want a hint of what it sounds like, listen to Creed's "Say I".

I'm really excited to hear this. :)

By the way, you realize that two of those tracks share names with tracks on Pink Floyd's The Dark Side of the Moon? Just noticed that..
