It all started about 3,000 years ago. A routine flyover from Venus to Mars by the Martian Chicken Space Agency turned deadly. They burst in to flame over Planet Earth. However, the heat fashioned their spacecraft in to something almost identical to one of their eggs. Two years later they managed to break out, well at least since they were boy and girl they had a kid inside the egg who managed to get out. twins really, a boy and a girl, and thus they went to populate the Earth with Chickens.

Any highschool biology teacher will tell you egg. Simply put, a creature laid the egg that was a mutation. That mutation was a chicken. So, a creature that wasn't a chicken birthed a chicken.
