Brushes on GIMP

I know the sort of way I'm supposed to install them, but I cannot find the "Brushes" folder when I open the GIMP 2.0 folder in Program Files.

Can someone help?

Program Files? I think you mean Preferences? If so, you click on the plus sign next to 'folders' and brushes should be the first sub-folder that shows up. Is it not there?

Idk how, in photoshop you just go to open and click the files. Then pow, you got brushes!
